Web development and complex system enhancements

I build and extend systems in PHP and Python: WordPress/WooCommerce, OpenCart, Laravel, APIs, CRM/ERP platforms, payment services and administrative interfaces. I step into complex live projects and develop their backend.

Core stack: PHP, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, REST APIs, CRM/ERP and 1C integrations. I handle projects from architecture and data analysis through production launch and ongoing support.

For an initial assessment, send a project link and a short description of the current and expected behavior.

  • Integrations and complex business logic
  • Based in Belgrade, working remotely
  • Project delivery and long-term support

What I can help with

I focus on complex work that cannot be solved by installing an off-the-shelf plugin. It requires understanding the existing code, data, external services and the project’s business logic.

Extending existing systems

Codebase analysis, bug fixing, business logic development, legacy system upgrades, data migration and service recovery.

  • take ownership of an unfamiliar codebase
  • stabilise an unreliable workflow
  • add new business logic
  • migrate or normalise data
  • plan a controlled, staged upgrade

CMS and e-commerce

WordPress, WooCommerce, OpenCart and ocStore: custom plugins and modules, checkout and order flows, admin areas, catalogs, imports, exports and integrations.

  • build a custom plugin or module
  • change checkout and order processing
  • create an administrative interface
  • exchange products, inventory and prices
  • connect a store to an external service

APIs and automation

Integrations with payment providers, messaging platforms, Google Sheets, CRM/ERP systems and other APIs. Data synchronisation, state control, idempotency and exchange logging.

  • connect two systems
  • design bidirectional data exchange
  • synchronise reference and operational data
  • prevent duplicate processing
  • record and diagnose exchange failures

Backend and administrative interfaces

PHP/Python, MySQL/PostgreSQL, REST APIs, data processing, customer portals, admin panels and purpose-built web interfaces for internal operations.

  • customer or partner portal
  • operator workspace
  • data registry and filtering
  • roles and access control
  • reporting and operational actions

Telegram and other messaging platforms

Messaging applications, website data exchange, request and payment handling, administrative management and external API integrations.

  • Telegram application for a store or service
  • data exchange between a messenger and a website
  • notifications and status updates
  • payment workflows
  • a shared backend for multiple platforms

Deployment and operations

Linux, Nginx/Apache/Caddy, PHP-FPM, Docker, TLS/DNS, email delivery, performance and production incident diagnostics.

  • deploy an application
  • configure TLS and the web server
  • diagnose 502/504 responses
  • fix email deliverability
  • audit the environment, permissions and service configuration

Core technology stack

The stack is selected around the project architecture, data model and integration landscape.

Backend and data

PHP, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Laravel, Symfony, Yii, FastAPI, REST APIs and OAuth 2.0.

CMS and e-commerce

WordPress, WooCommerce, OpenCart, ocStore and Joomla: custom plugins and modules, checkout flows, catalogs, orders and administrative tooling.

Integrated systems

CRM, ERP and 1C integrations, YCLIENTS, payment gateways, Telegram and other messaging platforms, Google Sheets, external catalogs and bidirectional data exchange.

Infrastructure

Linux, Nginx, Apache, Caddy, PHP-FPM, Docker, TLS/DNS, deployment, migrations, performance and production diagnostics.

When a project falls outside this list, I first review its requirements, constraints and current architecture. That assessment determines the appropriate stack, scope and implementation risks.

How I work

  1. 01

    Initial assessment

I review the project link, the current behavior and the expected result. I then determine whether there is enough information for an estimate and which parts of the system need inspection.

  2. 02

    Technical review

I examine the existing code, dependencies, data, integrations and runtime environment, then document the constraints, risks and open questions that affect delivery.

  3. 03

    Scope and terms

We agree on the outcome, scope boundaries, price, timeframe or milestones, and acceptance criteria. Access credentials are requested only after this stage.

  4. 04

    Implementation

I build the agreed solution and demonstrate it in the selected environment. If a previously unknown constraint emerges, I first explain its impact on the project.

  5. 05

    Verification and handover

I verify the agreed scenarios, deliver the changes and provide the instructions needed for launch, operation or continued maintenance.

Independent specialist

About me

I am Dmitry Nedeljkovic, an independent web developer based in Belgrade. My primary focus is backend development, integrations and the continued development of live web systems.

I lead the technical work directly: I analyse requirements, define the implementation, build the solution and verify the result. I work with PHP, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Redis, as well as Laravel, Symfony, Yii, WordPress/WooCommerce and OpenCart.

I design REST APIs, customer portals, CRM/ERP systems and 1C integrations, and connect payment services and external platforms. My work ranges from focused enhancements to complex systems that require a thorough understanding of the codebase, data model and production environment.

Payment

Available options include a bank transfer to a Serbian account or Visa card, PayPal, a RUB transfer through YooMoney or a Mir card and cryptocurrency. The payment method and project milestones are agreed before work begins.

What to send for an estimate

  • a link to the project or repository
  • a description of the current behavior
  • the expected result
  • your preferred timeframe
  • the budget, if already defined

Tell me about your project

No passwords or access credentials are needed for an initial assessment. Send a project link, briefly describe the current and expected behavior, and include a timeframe or budget if already defined.
